These workshops can cover topics such as water management, sanitation practices, hygiene promotion, and disability-inclusive approaches.

Skill Development Programs: Offer skill development programs aimed at enhancing the technical skills of community members in areas such as construction, maintenance, and repair of water and sanitation infrastructure.

Awareness Campaigns: Conduct community-wide awareness campaigns on the importance of WASH practices, including proper handwashing techniques, safe water storage, and sanitation hygiene. These campaigns can utilize various communication channels such as community meetings, radio broadcasts, and posters.

Accessible Infrastructure Construction: Oversee the construction of inclusive toilets and accessible tap water points designed to cater to the needs of persons with disabilities. Ensure that these facilities comply with accessibility standards and are located in convenient locations within the community.

Special Room Establishment: Establish and equip a dedicated Special Room for Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) in schools or community centers. Ensure that the room is equipped with proper sanitation facilities, hygiene supplies, and disposal systems.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress and impact of the capacity-building program. Collect data on key indicators such as access to clean water, sanitation facilities, hygiene behaviors, and participation rates in training activities.

Community Engagement:  Foster community engagement and participation in all program activities. Encourage active involvement of community members, including persons with disabilities, in decision-making processes and project implementation.

Partnership Building: Strengthen partnerships with local government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in WASH initiatives. Collaborate with organizations such as UN-HABITAT through the United Nations Kigoma Joint Programme (UN KJP) to leverage resources and expertise.

Sustainability Planning: Develop sustainability plans to ensure the long-term impact of the program. This may include capacity building for local institutions, establishing community management structures, and promoting income-generating activities related to WASH.
